  Family reunion

  my wife and i just enjoyed a family reunion with both my sons ,one wife and one grandchild 10 years old ,where they stayed at our house for a week .. the best week we have had for many a year .

  the couple live only 2 hours away by car and the other son and his child live 2 states away 2 hours by plane.. and thankfully they are no longer associated with the borg that i now regretfully brought them up in , so the borg will never get their children.. it was a happyfying time .

  but this is worth it.. i am a grandfather 😊.

  i'd like share why i went from being a teenager determined to work in full time service for jehovah my entire life, to now being on here commiserating with you all.

  i use to be an atheist but i now believe in god.

  but i'm not preachy about god.

  dantoole87 I also believe that the elders can be good if they wanted to truly reflect Jesus love towards the flock, I'veknown about Jehovah my whole life and trusted the elder arrangements , so when my son that committed sin, confessed to me I wholeheartedly told him go to elders they will help you and since your repented and want help they won't desfellowship you, he was just 18 and these men have known him since he was 4 yrs old they knew he was a good kid , he came out crying from the judicial committee he was getting dfd. He said when they were done they said "there's the door", I'm in tears still every time I think about this, so that year very difficult my son graduating high school no friends to hang out with , all his friends in kingdom hall, I received so much love by so many on this site, even a few wonderful people went out of their way giving me telephone number and email . Just one advice to you try to stay close to your daughter as much as possible this way you show her what love truly is

  Welcome , I have found comfort on this site , so many experiences, with the body of elders that are supposed to care for the sheep mistreat them, I still go to meetings and like you said there might be a sincere elder that wants to help but they are persuaded by the opinions of the rest and don't think for themselves , just a question If you had a medical Marijuana card would it be OK to use it for anxiety ? , don't know , sending you my love 💜

  1.if the parents were to have no contact with there grown daughter why was she still in the house,?

  there were also not supposed to grieve like aarons household yet they appeared to be grieving.

  3. aaron case is different in that his entire family was not included in the no grieving?

  As a mother of a df gay son , it is unconcivable for my husband and me to shun our son, it is so unĺoving , he goes through so many emotions and situations and he needs us, I can't imagine pushing him aside and treating him that way, at the meeting this week my husband and I just looked at each other 😐 (inconceivable )

  one of my children got disfellowshipped recently.

  i was worried about that some of my jw friends and jw relatives would mention it to me and it would make for awkward conversation as i am glad that he is out.

  i went to a jw family gathering.

  Hoser, I also have a son that's desfellowshiped , no one ever asked for him or bring him up, I always mention something like he's doing well in school or something like he helps me caring for my aged mother , and 😑 it's like he doesn't exist , so sad

  My wonderful son

  for those of you who don't know my story.

  i had a messy divorce i lost custody of my son in 2011 age 9yrs after four years of court battles to get him back i couldn't do anymore.. yesterday my wonderful son had an upsetting day as our contact was cancelled.

  This is so awful , can't imagine ever shunning my child , my son was dfd when he had just turned 18, he was so conflicted with being gay, hated himself for it all I can do is love him no matter what, my husband and I will be there for him always ,
